9Janet Leigh, Halloween H20

Janet Leigh’s most memorable role was that of Marion Crane in Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho. Leigh makes an appearance in 1998’s Halloween H20, with many references to Psycho. Her character’s name is Norma, she drives a Blue 1957 Ford, and as she exits the screen, the music from psycho is played. Leigh is also leading star Jamie lee Curtis’ Mother in real life

8Alfred Hitchcock, Psycho

Known for making appearances in his own movies, Hitchcock’s most notable cameo is in Psycho. Very briefly you can see him stand along the window of Marion Crane’s office just as she enters the building.

7Wes Craven, Scream

The father of modern slasher films had a very quick cameo in 1996’s Scream.
Craven played a rugged looking janitor named “Fred” who wears a red and green Christmas sweater and a brown hat that plays homage to his earlier horror franchise A Nightmare on Elm Street.

6Linda Blair, Scream

Best known for her role as Regan in The Exorcist, Linda Blair plays a reporter outside of Woodsboro High waiting for Sydney’s arrival. It’s another quick one that if you blink, you’ll miss it.

5John Carpenter, Halloween

In his notably most successful film, John Carpenter voiced for Annie’s boyfriend Paul. Carpenter has no screen time, but can be heard over the phone talking to Annie.

4Tobe Hooper, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Part 2

Tobe Hooper is not one for acting of any sorts, but early in the film Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Part 2 he can be seen making a brief cameo. In the scene where Stretch visits Lefty in a hotel, a bunch of drunken football fans are parading through the halls. Hooper can be seen walking by with a horned hat smoking a cigar.

3Sam Raimi, The Evil Dead

Sam Raimi makes a quick appearance in The Evil Dead. He can be seen standing on the side of the road as the group heads to the cabin in the woods. Raimi plays a hitchhiker alongside the films producer, Rob Tapert

2Gene Barry & Anne Robinson, War of the Worlds (2005)

Gene Barry and Anne Robinson are best known for their roles in the original film adaptation of War of the Worlds. They can briefly be seen in the 2005 remake near the end, playing the children’s grandparents

Lorraine Warren herself made a quick cameo in The Conjuring. In the scene where Ed and Lorraine are lecturing to a class, Lorraine can be seen sitting in the front row of the audience.
