| Last House on Dead End Street | The New York Ripper | The Toolbox Murders | The Abominable Dr. Phibes |

... B.B. gun rampage later, he discovers that animal blood won't suffice... only human blood will do.
You can imagine the rest. Our hero resorts to everything but murder (starting with his elderly neighbor who dies in her sleep) to keep the Blood Car running, but things start to spin out of control. Archie turns a blind eye to Lorraine's advances due the disturbed nature of his research, but starts blowing off steam with her biggest competition, the slut who runs the meat stand. She'll only stick around with him if she can ride in his car (since all but the rich have stopped driving altogether) and soon he needs a lot more blood if he wants any more of that freaky nookie.
Tons of casual nudity, teenage humping and off-color sex scenes distract from the pseudo main plot of the government (played amusingly by teenagers in suits) tracking and sabotaging Archie's research. The corpse-grinder rig he sets up in the trunk in order to process his victims into fuel provide a few moments of maximum gross-out, but much of the violence is left implied and the film is surprisingly bloodless for most of the running time.
Blood Car is worth watching if you want a 21st century B-movie. Ultimately, the high concept boils down to a few amusing (but easy) cracks at neo-cons and stereotypical American over-indulgence. However, the skewed sense of humor and classic combination of boobs and blood is true to the Troma school of film-making and will please fans of the genre.
