... (we mean ill, this time) man. Before the arrest is made, Jigsaw mentions a "situation" currently taking place. Daniel Matthews, Detective Matthew's son is locked up in a rusty old house with seven other derelicts, whom all apparently have done time behind bars. They are being subjected to a lethal nerve gas and the only cure is an antidote hidden somewhere in the house. They must all work together and find out why they are there, who sent them, and how to escape. Each one will face a game (or test) along the way, creatively built by Jigsaw himself.

Jigsaw also wishes to play a game with Detective Matthews. The suspense is now intensified as two separate situations unfold.

The plot is tense and the games are very violent and grisly. While the acting was pretty bad during some parts, the brilliantly directing and storyline helped save this film from total disaster. I simply loved Saw I and was very excited to get my hands on Saw II. These films are definitely not for everyone, but those who are looking for something different should definitely give this series a chance. Also, I would recommend watching the Saw series in order, as each movie basically leads into the next, and you might end up partially lost.

I have already bought Saw III and I will be posting a review for that shortly. I know Blockbuster is selling a bundle of the three for pretty cheap right now, so if you really like this film I highly suggest buying it. Go rent or buy this film today and get ready for Saw III.
