... with out much warning, leads him directly to Point Pleasant. On arrival John meets a local cop Connie Mills (Laura Linney) who is not stranger to the so called Mothman sightings. Both Connie(who is plagued with visions of falling and floating gift boxes) and John start to research any and all going on having to do with the Mothman. With the feeling of impending doom on their heels the Silver Bridge collapses. Sadly no one understood the signs that the Mothman was leaving. Thought to be a ghost or a monster, the Mothman's prophesies were ignored.

Slow it may be, Mothman is a great movie to watch and ponder. That awesome X-files feel of the great unknown is in abundance and the film is wonderfully acted. After a viewing, to amp up the eerie foreboding feeling the movie leaves you with I suggest checking out mothmanlives.com to compare the films events to the actually events they are based upon.
