Honestly, what's not to love? And the "Banana Land" line is just flawless. SO...when Regina wakes up the next morning (she stayed the night in the projection booth with her boyfriend Larry (Michael Bowen, who incidentally played Buck "who is here to ...." in Kill Bill, just F.Y.I.) she finds that LA seems to be deserted except for red dust and lots of clothing laying in the streets. She gets home to find her sister Sam. Seems these two are the only survivors of some kind of Comet Holocaust. The girls search LA and a few of it's malls to find other survivors and that's when the real drama begins. People who were partially exposed to the comet are eating the living or what's left of them. The film gets more and more ridiculous as we find out that a government "Think Tank" was responsible for Comet Holocaust and not Haley's Comet.

"Night of the Comet" was finally released on DVD for the first time in mid 2007. There are no special features, GO FIGURE, but it is in it's original widescreen glory. It's a great popcorn teenage flesh eating zombie flick. I suggest you buy it and not rent...you'll definitely wanna see it again.
