Day of the Dead (2008)

... hits town she realizes there's a sickness spreading very quickly. Duh, Sarah the town is being quarantined. She transports her mother as fast as she can to the emergency room, but the hospital is packed with other sick townsfolk. In moments these sick patients turn into seeming dead bodies with the power to run and climb on the ceiling. Yeah, these infected dead move pretty fast.

So, no the storyline is not good. But what this film does have going for it is its constant tempo. As much as you want to turn it off there's gory and something new happening every few seconds. Not a whole lot of exposition in the film which is a good thing. They give us lots of flesh eating and explosions. The jokes are on the stale side, but when Bud turns into a lapdog zombie of sorts it's kind of cute and funny. Oh, and my favorite part....ironically, Day of the Dead takes place totally at night. Ha.
