... is not ready for this, she has become completely co-dependent upon her brother, oh and she's absolutely frightened of the dark. Laura goes in search of help; Henry recommends a psychiatric institute that helped him with the same problem. The doctors who run this "phobia" experiment are Dr. Jessica Ryan (Renee O'Conner) and Dr. Mitchell Allen (Tobin Bell). Henry leaves Laura with the rest of the group in a very creepy looking mental facility. The phobia patients consist of Nicky (Crissy Griffith) who has body dismorphia and thinks she constantly growing fat on her body, Alison (Mae Whitman) is a cutter, she razors herself superficially to make her internal pain external, Paul (Johnny Simmons) is a germ fanatic, Mark (David Gallagher) is afraid of the dark just like our Laura, and Darren (Michael Graziadei) who is an Agoraphobic, meaning he's afraid of the outside world. With the characters in place issues are shared and the Boogeyman comes for a visit picking off the patients one by one based on their fears.

I had such a great time watching this movie. There's a delightful aspect of it that screams that it may be a remake of Nightmare on Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors. Boogeyman 2 totally delivers in the gore and drama departments. It's a thrilling story line with very few lulls in the tempo of the film. It drags just a tad at the end, but for what we've already seen it's worth it. The cast has surprisingly honest actors that don't give us the easy over dramatic sell of being a crazy in an asylum. All in all, I really enjoyed Boogeyman 2. Hopefully you will too, so watch it and see if you don't catch "Boogey phobia."
