Then the magic of the houses "quirks" aren't so cool anymore when Carol Anne goes missing and can be heard calling out from the television set. Steve and Diane try every venue possible to get their daughter back. They bring in spectral investigators and clairvoyants. All of this ending in a battle for the little girls soul.

"Poltergeist" is very frightening. I'd put it right up there with "The Exorcist". And when I say original...."Poltergeist" is responsible for lots of peoples fear of clowns, coined the line "They're Heeereee!", and has some special effects that were first to be seen in any film that decade. Oh and one of the best reasons for a new house to be haunted. If you haven't seen this film so get it now and then try to sleep with the light off when it's over, I dare you.
