... Damien (Harvey Stephens) grows up surround by followers that know he's the coming of the end and the son of Satan.

It's a classic; however, I've never places this film in my top 5. The performances are solid. But I've always found this film to be just a bit on the dry side. It's got a great creep factor, but it's never really scared me. If you get a chance I suggest watching the original back to back with the 2007 remake. Some of the scenes are identical shot for shot. And the newer one has some great ideas in it.
