It almost seems that Rob Zombie hasn't so much created a new story as a new form of entertainment. I think he should call it Sketch Horror...meaning, there's no real glue that keeps the story together, but lot's of vignettes that give us lots of separate horrifying moments. Like a gory Hee-Haw of sorts. And there are plenty of music videos. Honestly, when did it become so popular to just film a 90 minute music video instead of a movie?
I just sound like I'm complaining. It's just a mish mosh of ideas that don't meld together. But inside that mish mosh is a lot of fun stuff to look at. The sequel, "The Devil's Rejects" is an actual story. And in my opinion superior in many ways to "House of a 1,000 Corpses."
