Through Abberline's investigation he meets Mary Kelly (Heather Graham) one of the Whitechapel whores and quickly falls in love with her. As he gets closer to finding who the Ripper may be, our Inspector finds that these murders may have links all the way to the royal family and worse, some of the most prominent men in all of England.

Given the Ripper case was never solved all the theories included in the movie were all based on rumors of the time period as to who the killer may have been. The murders themselves are hardly kind. The gore in "From Hell" is at times gasp worthy. Adding to the films already unsettling vibe. As scary as it is gothicly romantic "From Hell" is a keeper. I almost wonder if Tim Burton has sleepless nights when he thinks about not directing this film.
