Mothman is a bit on the slow side. But, a film based on so much Urban Myth can hardly be an easy telling. The truth behind the Mothman...if there is any, and the many sightings of a mysterious red eyed creature in Point Pleasant, West Virginia fuel this movies haunting tone. The movie in its entirety is based mostly on the biggest Mothman event to date...the destruction of the Silver Bridge and the loss of 42 lives.

The story start with a happy couple John(Richard Gere) and Mary (Debra Messing) Klien looking for a new home. Mary seems to be seeing things out of the corner of her I until she and her husband are in a very messy car accident that leaves Mary in hospital with a very serious head injury, before she dies she tells John about a vision, or form that she's been seeing and the red eyes right before the car accident.

Haunted and grief stricken by his wife's sudden death, John goes on a search for any information about this strange vision his wife had seen. His search, ...
