I gave this movie a 5 star overall score...just hear me out. I confess to being hardcore in love with B-Movie schlock. I can't help it, I am a child of the 80's. If Return of the Living Dead is THE "Rock and Roll" 80's horror movie then Night of the Comet is the "teenage girls in trouble" 80's horror movie. With that being said...adjust your shoulder pads and blot your frosted pink, because it's time to put the smack down on some comet infected undead!

Regina (Catherine Mary Stewart) works at the local movie house and tonight they're showing a double feature billed as a "Midnight Comet Show" cause guess what? It's 1984 and Haley's Comet is swinging by for a visit. Regina's sister Sam (Kelly Maroney) is at home with Doris the stepmother from hell who is hosting a neighborhood Comet party and Sam ain't havin' it. Here's just a taste of some of the films sassy dialogue and why it's one of my favorites...

Doris : (to Sam) Now, are you going to join the party?

Sam: Join the party for what Doris? So I can watch Chuck from across the street stick his hands down yer pants? I think thats something daddy should know.

Doris: Chucks a nice guy. He's certainly nice to be with while daddy is down in "Banana Land."
