I had to watch "High Tension" or "Haute Tension" (its given French name) twice to decide if I was behind the stories end or not. It's a hell of a movie horror fans. It's bloody and extremely graphic, hence it's NC-17 rating. It's kind of naughty too. What more could you ask for? Well, I could ask for a "twist" ending that didn't make me want to punch the screenwriter in the mouth, but we can't have everything can we?
Marie (Cecile de France) and Alexia (Maiwenn) are taking a short road trip to Alexia's parent's country home for some peace and quite to study. We quickly learn that Marie harbors a crush on her friend Alexia, but we're not quite sure Alexia gets it, yet. Upon arrival at Alexia's parents house we meet dad and brother and the ladies are quickly trundled off to bed. Not too long after there's a visitor at the front door. A maniacal madman quickly murders the household; the film credits refer to him as Le tueur (Phillipe Nahon), who ultimately kidnaps Alexia to have his way with her. Unbeknownst ...
