"Funny Games" in all of its silence, real time scenes, and off screen murder is terrifying movie wonderment. It was a great watch, and dare I say...a nail biter.
Ann (Naomi Watts) and George (Tim Roth) along with their son Georgie (Devon Gearhart) are traveling to their lake side vacation home for a nice family outing filled with sailing and...well, whatever else rich people do at their lake side vacation homes. Everything is perfect until the family is interrupted by Peter (Brady Corbet) and Paul (Micheal Pitt) who say they just want to borrow some eggs. These oddly polite boys take a turn for the worse by beating George senior with his own golf club and forcing the family to play a game. The boys make a bet that the entire family will be "ka-put" by the morning. Everyone is forced to play "Funny Games" to survive being beaten or maybe worse.
