Sometimes I miss the 80's, and sometimes I wanna hit myself with a large hammer for missing the 80's. However, some of the radest oddest horror films are children of that neon decade...behold The Return of the Living Dead. Punk charged and filled with stereotypical rock misfits "Return" could quite possibly be the quintessential 80's horror film.
Uneeda Medical Supply Company rests on the out skirts of town, smack dab next to a Cemetery, what a perfect place to start our tale. Freddy (Thom Mathews) has just started at Uneeda as a warehouse clerk and his new supervisor Frank (James Karen), who seems to really love his job, shows Freddy the ins and outs of running a medical supply warehouse. Jackass.
The credits roll as we watch the body in the can dissolve and muddy. The gas permeates the warehouse. As for the cadaver in the freezer it starts to jump around on its hook. Totally to the curb.
We find a mish-mosh of social miscreants walking down the street trying to figure out what they're gonna do for the night. The best idea they can come up with is picking up Freddy after work. He always knows where the party is. The gang is made up ...
