What happens when a meteor falls on a beer drinkin', deer huntin', rifle toten' kinda town? Well, "Slither" happens, that's what..."hwhack-too." That was me spitting. It seems to me that no one really saw this movie, which is too bad...it's hella funny and gross. Yes, I said "hella", what? And the films unlikely hero is played by Nathan Fillion of Firefly/Serenity fame. He's absolutely worth the price of admission.
Welcome to Wheelsy, a drowsy kinda town. Where everyone knows each other. Grant Grant (Micheal Rooker) is one of the towns bigwigs and he's taking his lady friend, meaning not his wife, out behind the bar to make out for a bit when he witness the meteor's crash landing and also finds and gets infected by something inside. He comes home to his wife Starla (Elizabeth Banks) and quickly becomes a different men, thanks to the alien now inhabiting his body. The alien in Grant falls in love with Starla and decides it can't hurt her, so it goes after the lady friend Brenda (Brenda James) while the whole town is at the "Beginning of Deer Season" party at the bar. This is when the movie starts to get moving. Alien Grant has these odd probisc that come out of his chest and he stabs them into Brenda who starts humping the air as Grant fills her up with his fleshy tube things.
