If this movie wasn’t sold to me so hardcore as a thriller or even horror-esque I might have really liked it. It’s romantic and mysterious. It has the potential to be a bit of a tear jerker…if you’re not sitting there waiting for something scary to happen. One more thing it’s a friggin’ Kevin Costner film. Oh wait…A romantic mysterious thriller that pulls at the heart strings starring …

This movie is in my Top 10 favorite horror films. So you needn’t read on unless you wanna hear what I have to say about it. Just go rent or buy it NOW! It’s really that good. Actually, you should rent the original too and have an awesome day of undead film watching. What a great double feature.
Ana (Sarah Polley) is a nurse …

“The Host” is a Korean monster film. Yes, a monster film. But what’s great about this monster movie is the human spirit behind the film’s true tale…and that’s what keeps you watching.
It all starts in a mortuary in 2002; a mortician and his assistant are cleaning the lab. The mortician is a clean freak and orders his assistant to dump dirty bottles of formaldehyde down the sink. The …

Planet Terror is my favorite of the two Grindhouse films. Yes, it’s the more convoluted plot…but hey, it’s ultra gory and hella’ funny. Not to mention the babes are a tad steamier than Death Proof.
Cherry (Rose McGowan) is a Go-Go Dancer. She decided she needs a drastic life change and quits after her last dance of the night, that she cried through. “It’s called Go Go not Cry Cry.” Good …

Death Proof is the second film in the experience that was Grindhouse. Death Proof is also the one movie of the two in Grindhouse that recieved the most critical acclaim. It was a festival winner and mostly applauded for Quentin Tarantino’s new script and the introduction of female stunt star Zoe Bell (who plays herself in the film). It’s a a rad retrospective for car stunts, and the best …

It’s almost become habit to expect a film based on a Stephen King short story to be…well, not good. 1408 gave me a few tingles but not enough to change my mind.
We meet Mike Enslin (John Cusack) a writer of mediocre travel logs that give insight to the most haunted spots in America. He seems to be on the last leg of a tour of hotels to review for his …

Dr. Miranda Grey (Halle Berry) appears content with her job at the local mental institution helping a seemingly delusional girl, Chloe (Penelope Cruz), who thinks Satan visits her in her cell nightly. Miranda has a friend at work that shares quips and sandwiches with her on occasion, Dr. Peter Graham (Robert Downey Jr.). And to put the icing on the cake Dr. Grey gets to work along side her husband …

The Reaping comes to us from Dark Castle films, which in the past has made a few entertaining remakes of classic William Castle movies. Sad to say, but they’ve never fared well with original films. And this trend continues with a bore of a religious thriller entitled the Reaping.
The movie follows Hillary Swank as a debunker of religious “miracles”. After one of her lectures, she is approached by a man who comes …

This movie was so surrounded by hype that I couldn’t bring myself to see it. I know what a snob. But I can’t help it. If you really want me to see a movie? Don’t tell me “It’s Sooooo good!” or “I know you’ll love it, I thought of you while I was watching it!” It’s like a reflex to not see the film. What a …

I’m going to describe this flick to you and it’s going to sound like a ball. This movie has motorcycles, a pistol packing old lady, studly dudes, nearly nude babes, and of course werewolves. Werewolves, whom I might add, were designed by Stan Winston studios. So why isn’t it more fun? I mean, I had to fight off falling asleep in quite a few places, and I eat, sleep, and breathe this …

Neil Marshall steps aside, but not completely off the film set, for this much anticipated sequel. The original Descent was directed by Mr. Marshall, and while he’s producing the sequel, the editor of the first installment has given the film a go as director. Even though this is Jon Harris’s directorial debut, expect much of the same in respects to the brutal carnage, claustrophobic dwellings, and fast paced action.
Sarah finds herself returning …
Paranormal Activity a HUGE Hit Overseas!
PA made quite an impression on domestic audiences. The film cost $15,000 to shoot in just two weeks. How much did the film gross domestically? A little over 100 million! Well, it turns out that the film is becoming just as huge of a hit overseas. Within its opening week in countries such as the U.K and Germany, it raked in just a little over 35 million at box offices.
So what does …
