Hangmans Curse

Hmmm…where to start? Firstly I don’t think this film should be categorized as a horror film. And then B? Don’t try to brainwash me with Christian beliefs buried in a crappy script. That’s right folks; prayer saves the day in this piece without even trying to blend religion well into the story.
Here is the after school special plot. A special team put together by the VERITAS Project is sent to a school to go undercover and find out why teenagers are…dying? Well no it can’t be that, they don’t show any bodies or say anyone has died. They don’t even say they go crazy or go into a coma. Which is what I’m assuming happens. What we do see is them getting blurry vision. Oooh scary. Great effects. That did come off as sarcastic, right?
It seems the school must be haunted by what the kids in attendance call the Hangman’s Cruse. Turns out some nerd hung himself in the schools “Forbidden Wing”…yeah, no shit, that’s what they call it. OH and another tidbit even though this whole story bases it’s self on someone’s suicide they never say the word “suicide” or “killed themselves” in the entire movie. Who is this movie’s target audience?
The special team shows up from VERITAS to solve “The Case of the Eerie Ghost that Causes People to Act Weird, Get Blurred Vision and Other Scary Stuff.” This is my favorite part. The team is a family that travels in tricked out Winnebago. Mom, Dad, Brother and Sister…they’re all F.B.I. trained. Ummm…yeah. It’s like Kim Possible meets…something even worse than Kim Possible.
Wait! I think I get it. This was like a pilot or a made for cable movie meant to air on the PAX channel. I can’t even tell you anymore about it. I think this movie has actually made me mad. You’d be better off watching any episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer than ever watching this movie. If someone hands it to you RUN! Actually, there you go, that’s the scary part…it’s like The Ring but instead of killing you it will turn you bland. DON’T WATCH THIS MOVIE !!! EVER!!! Nuff’ said.

Neil Marshall steps aside, but not completely off the film set, for this much anticipated sequel. The original Descent was directed by Mr. Marshall, and while he’s producing the sequel, the editor of the first installment has given the film a go as director. Even though this is Jon Harris’s directorial debut, expect much of the same in respects to the brutal carnage, claustrophobic dwellings, and fast paced action.

Paranormal Activity a HUGE Hit Overseas!
PA made quite an impression on domestic audiences. The film cost $15,000 to shoot in just two weeks. How much did the film gross domestically? A little over 100 million! Well, it turns out that the film is becoming just as huge of a hit overseas. Within its opening week in countries such as the U.K and Germany, it raked in just a little over 35 million at box offices.
So what does …
